The land of Zolotovia was a large and peaceful empire ruled by a wise and kind Emperor. Unable to have children of his own he decided he would choose six orphans to raise up as future rulers. The Emperor picked three pairs of siblings, all of which, were made up of one brother and sister. He brought them to the palace and began at once to train them in the wisdom and values that had seen Zolotovia prosper for many years.

But before the brothers and sisters could properly be trained and tested the Emperor of Zolotovia died. It wasn’t long after that a great argument broke out amongst them, and as the people of Zolotovia waited, anxious for the future of their peaceful empire, the brothers and sisters reached a settlement. Zolotovia would be split between the three sets of siblings into three equal provinces. Each province would be ruled according to the laws set by the ruling brother and sister.

And so that's what they did.

However, as the siblings grew older, the arguments began again, and one by one, the provinces split once more. Today, Zolotovia is made up of six provinces, Pilferonia, Plundernium, Duplicatos, Doublerium, Minima and Promptus. Sometimes these provinces will still work together, however, even their shared history won’t stop them from turning on one another!
