90/100
Final Score
Players surviving The Captain Is Dead will have no trouble, other than aliens, with this expansion.

Rules 73/80

Structure 7/9

Objective/Introduction should come before components and setup, so I can get a feel for the game/expansion before jumping in.

Requirements 3/3

Introduction 2/3

No intro! Not absolutely essential, but some flavor getting me back in the mood for Space Trouble would be good: a dramatic re-cap of a hard-fought game of Episode 1, say, with comments on how certain characters gained new skills & confidence. Also, it seems THE SHIP IS FULL OF ALIENS!!! A minor point: stowaways is one word.

Overview 3/3

"In Episode 2 win that way" should have a 'you may' in there. Since the ship starts the game overrun by aliens, it should be emphasized somewhere that you need to handle that problem on the first turn.

In the Dodge Asteroids section, next to the current level icon, it says DODGEP. 'P'? (The view of an Alert card in the video makes it clear that it's a question mark. Perhaps this reads better in the printed rules than on-screen.) The example here of starting at Veteran and improving to Normal is confusing. We just need to know that the jump gate level, no matter where it started, corresponds to a set number of Commands needed to dodge. Under Damage Tokens, it would help to list ALL systems that cannot be damaged.

End Point 6/6

Overall Comprehension 4/4

Clarity 3/3

Most style manuals (and effete grammarians) prefer numbers ten and under to be written out. Some gamers prefer it the other way, as it is, for 'clarity'. The use of "Episode 1 and Episode 2" is acceptable to either. Under Damage Tokens, should be 'its' not "it's".

Presentation 2/2

Clean and clear.

Shop Presentation 17/20

Ad 2/3

Should make it more obvious that you'll need the base game to play.

Backdrop 1/1

Stunning!

Logo 1/1

Action Shots 4/5

Picture of Weapons Officer Pack Rat is difficult to see; an overhead shot showing the cards clearly would be better. Damage counters shown (red cubes) are not as in current version.

Description 5/5

Video 4/5

Dark background is a little distracting. Sound, picture and pacing are good. Some of the intro flavor should be written up and added to the rules as an intro. Contrary to setup instructions, video shows characters being chosen BEFORE Veteran abilities are assigned.
