Sanity Test for Election! - Road to the White House

87/100
Final Score
Excellent, clear and concise rules. A little polish to the logo and pictures may help sell the game.

Rules 70/80

Structure 7/9

The structure is good. There is just one thing I would move, as noted in Game Play.

Requirements 3/3

TGC doesn't allow ages under 12 because those games may require product testing.

Introduction 3/3

The introduction is excellent. The only suggestion is you don't really need "The game is for 2 to 5 players, ages 10+, taking 30-60 minutes to play..." since it is above in the requirements.
The part about a 5-minute learning round is never mentioned again in the rules. Either talk about it further or eliminate it.

Overview 3/3

Also excellent. "Madam" doesn't have a period after it. (It's not an abbreviation.)

Component List 4/5

Complete list with quantities.
Dice Assembly: I assume the face of the die that each sticker goes on is not important, but you should state that so people don't wonder.
Card Types: Presidential Candidate Cards: "evaluative ratings on five key issues": You call this Issue Ratings later. On page 4, it's called candidate ratings. I'd like to see this as a key term that is consistent throughout to make it easy to follow.

Component Pictures 2/3

Not needed. You could put a picture of a Red Tape and Public Opinion card in their respective spots if space allows.

Setup 10/10

Clear and concise with a meaningful picture.
"Remaining cards are placed in their marked locations on the game board.": "Face down" just for clarity.

Setup Pictures 5/7

The one picture is good.

Game Play 15/15

Clear rules with an excellent detailed example.
Introduction: Registering to Vote: These are detailed rules that belong after the turn sequence. Move page 4 right after the current page 6.
"Players vote by rolling unique dice..." This explanation could be more clear. I think the number of the die (color) matches the candidate's rating in any issue. At first I thought each die was related to a particular issue.
In the picture, why are there 5 issues shown? Why are the two that are pointed to chosen?
The Election Process: Step 4: "Players may choose to concede an election at their discretion.": "by discarding a candidate card." (The example later shows that you "nominate" them first, which I guess is revealing it. Then you concede and discard.)
Step 5: "The tiebreak winner advances their original number of votes on the game board prior to the tiebreaker re-roll.": At first I reread this as the tiebreak loser. Probably "If there was a tiebreaker, the winner advances..." would be more clear.
"Note: Players may issue Public Opinion or Red Tape cards at any time, even when it is not their turn.": Make this bigger and/or in a call-out box so it is not missed.
Public Opinion Cards: "...to decrease the Domestic Affairs issue rating by 2 for every opponent’s candidates.": "...to decrease every opponent's Domestic Affairs rating by 2" is more clear.
"...affect all future votes...": Surely just this round.

Game Play Pictures 5/7

Not needed. The example pictures are good.

End Point 5/6

Straightforward.

Overall Comprehension 3/4

Only a couple small questions.

Clarity 3/3

I only saw one typo: "Therefore, [it] is necessary to roll..."
Don't put rules in parentheses. "(may not stop short to favorably land on a red or blue space)"

Presentation 2/2

Good.

Shop Presentation 17/20

Ad 2/3

The picture is fine. The text (font) is serviceable.

Backdrop 1/1

Good.

Logo 1/1

It would be more compelling with a custom font, but it is ok.

Action Shots 4/5

The action shots are just ok.
The box and board could be posed more attractively.
The rulebook picture isn't very appealing.
Cards look better with their corners rounded, or ideally rendered in a 3D fashion like BoxShot and other software can do. You could combine more cards into a hand for more interest.
It would also be nice to see the game in play, preferably with people having fun.

Description 5/5

Again, you don't have to repeat the play-time, etc.
"Shop page art and box art designed by James Larkin." This could be moved to the end of the description if your contract allows it.
In your bullet points: "Highly [High] replay value."

Video 4/5

The gameplay video is good quality but long.
It would be great to also see a short (1 minuteish) trailer selling the game.
