Mint Italy is a 1-4 Player Strategy Game

Mint Italy is a medium-weight economic game that involves area control, resource management, and market manipulation that fits into a Mint Tin. Players compete to build settlements, trade goods, and complete contracts on a small island off of the coast of Italy.

Players must increase their wealth, upgrade their abilities, trade or produce goods, complete contracts, and compete for land in this engine-building strategy game.

There are 4 steps (phases) in a round

1. Player action phase
2. Production Phase
3. Scoring Phase
4. Cleanup Phase

During the player action phase, players take turns performing 1 of several player actions. Once all players have passed, the round is over and there is an end of round scoring condition. After 4 rounds, the game is over. The player with the most victory points wins!

Different Experience When You Play

Mint Italy is different every time you play because each game has a variable setup. The terrain is randomized, each player has different starting perks, and each round has different scoring conditions which differ from game to game. All of this is to provide as much replayability as possible.

Solo Playthrough

Solo Play Is Not An Afterthought

This game has an easy-to-run bot player that is used when playing by yourself. There are 4 different bot personas to play against. Each persona has a special action that differs from the rest. Playing against the bot feels like playing against a player, instead of a "beat-your-high-score" type of game.

It's Portable With a Big Table Presence

All of the components will fit into a tall mint tin. The game looks beautiful on the table. The game components are:

Mint Rails is a 1-4 player 18xx-lite train game that plays in 18 minutes. Players collectively operate railway companies to earn funding and buy stocks in those companies. The game is relatively simple, players either lay track which increases that company's worth or buy stock. However, laying track will decrease the purchase price of that company's stock for other players. The rules are simple but the strategy is engaging.
