Colours & Shapes is designed to be played by your youngest and oldest relatives at the same time, incorporating qualities that provide something for all generations.
Colours & Shapes is a game for 2-4 players. The objective is to make match sets of 3 or more cards. Each match set is worth points based on the number of cards in the match set. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.
To begin a game, a deck is created with 4 of the 8 colors available, as well as White Cards (wild cards) and Black Cards (disrupt cards). After the deck is shuffled, each player selects a character and is dealt 7 cards. When the game begins, players must draw 1 card from the deck at the start of their turn. At this point the player can choose to: a) play a match set, b) play a Black Card on an opponent, or c) pass their turn to the next player. The game ends when a player has no cards left in hand, or there are no cards left to draw from the deck.
Character powers can be unleashed by playing a match set that corresponds with a player's character! Each of the 8 playable characters have a unique ability that can instantly alter the course of a game.
Colours & Shapes also has a single player mode called "Classic" for those players who like a good solo card game. Classic tasks the player with creating match sets of 3 to clear out Match Piles. The goal is to clear each Match Pile with no cards remaining.
Take on the role of one of the eight colors and their shapes:

"I rather like how light the game is. It’s casual game play is coated with a very thin, but potent layer of logical thinking."
