Description

Young wizards, you see before you a variety of creatures. While these creatures may seem mundane, they are not in their true forms. For your final transformations exam, you must return them to their natural states. And now, begin!

In this competitive game of card placement and area majority, work with rivals to finish sequences of transformations. When a creature is returned to its original form, you receive points according to your contributions. Win by earning the most points through these magical transformative endeavors.

Setup: Three start cards are placed in the central play area. Four transformation cards, three pawns, and players' score markers are placed on the scoreboard. Players each receive 1 aid, 2 transformation cards, and 14 cubes.

Players take one of two actions on their turns: Trade or Draw and Place.

Trade: Trade your 2 cards for 2 face-up cards.

Draw and Place: Draw 1 card. Add 1 card to either side of any transformation sequence. The cards' side icons must match. Then place a cube on the card.

When the same icon is on both ends of a sequence, score the sequence and start a new sequence.
  • Player with the most cubes: score 1 point for every card in the sequence
  • 2nd most cubes: score # of cubes from 1st player
  • 3rd most cubes: score # of cubes from 2nd player
  • 4th most cubes: score # of cubes from 3rd player

When placing an icon that matches an icon already in the middle of a sequence, score the cards between the matching icons. Leave any other cards to start a new sequence.

End game: When the transformation deck is exhausted, reshuffle it. After this, remove a pawn from the scoreboard every time a sequence is completed. The game ends as soon as the last pawn is removed. The player with the most points wins!
