Dice Chess is a brand new chess variant I just invented a couple of days ago!! As of this writing, it is 11-26-2019. [Note: I changed the rules slightly one week later due to a flaw discovered after play testing the game.] As it will take me quite a while to draft up a PDF file for this game, I have posted a video on this game on my youtube channel The Clever Game Inventor. Please watch this video to understand how to play this wonderful new chess variant!!

Here is another video (actually a playlist of two videos) showing more information about the Capture Ring.
I have a number of videos on my youtube channel (The Clever Game Inventor) showing Dice Chess handily defeating chess. Can Dice Chess defeat Tines and Barbs (another game that handily defeats chess)? Here is a video that provides the answer--

Note: I have had to add a new rule: The Turns with Movement Rule (Or, The 6-6 Rule): A player may make up to six turns in a game of Dice Chess 8 without movement. This includes turns with just increments and decrements as well as outright passing turns. If a player makes a 7th turn in a game without movement, then the opponent make claim that as an illegal turn to win the game. Upon reaching six non-movement turns, a player is thenceforth obligated to move at least one piece each turn that advances toward the opponent by at least one rank in either of the two forward diagonal directions or the vertically forward direction. This obligation ends when the player gets down to having just 6 pieces. Upon achieving 6 pieces, the player may resume non-movement turns if desired.
