Wisconsin Flag Meeples

Be the talk of the table when you bring out these custom Wisconsin Flag meeples! Each set contains eight 17 mm wooden Wisconsin Flag meeples, fully printed on both sides. This set is perfect for Carcassonne or any other game that uses meeples or player tokens.

These meeples are designed to mimic Wisconsin's state flag, consisting of a blue field with the state coat of arms at the center. While the color blue represents traits such as wisdom, trust and truth, it also represents loyalty--blue is a common color on flags of states that aligned with the Union during the Civil War. The state seal, meanwhile, incorporates a number of symbols associated with the state including a badger, a miner, a sailor, and a plow.

Important Dates in Wisconsin Flag History

• 1848: Wisconsin enters the union as the 30th state.
• 1863: The flag of Wisconsin is adopted following requests from Civil War regiments for use on the battlefield.
• 1913: The flag is officially added to the Wisconsin Statutes.
• 1941: Carl Eklund raises the state flag over Antarctica.
• 1979: "Wisconsin" and "1948" are added to the flag above and below the coat of arms, respectively.
• 2023: The Wisconsin Flag Meeple is born.
